I would like to welcome you to the Chemical Addictions Program,

Inc. (CAP) website. Our website is dedicated to providing

information about CAP and the services that we offer. CAP has

experienced much growth and change since its early days as an

alcohol treatment program. Back then drug treatment was virtually

nonexistent. The epidemic of crack cocaine that spread into

Alabama changed all of that. In an effort to develop a program that

treated all forms of alcohol and drug abuse and addiction, four

alcohol treatment programs combined to form CAP in 1979. Since

those early years, new threats in the form of highly addictive,

easily manufactured drugs continue to present ever evolving

challenges for our treatment staff.  A commitment to providing

quality services has been a hallmark of our agency. CAP was the

first substance abuse treatment program in the state to require all

of its therapists to hold a masters degree. We now deliver a

comprehensive array of alcohol and drug abuse and addiction

treatment services for adolescents and adults from intensive

outpatient to residential care. Services are provided in three

attractive buildings on our main campus in Montgomery and in

satellite locations in Jefferson, Montgomery, and Elmore Counties.

Family involvement is strongly encouraged. We

know that recovery can be a reality. Let us know

how we can help make your recovery a reality.

                                     Sincerely,

                                     John Cosper
